Chop Chop Shuttle & Tour

Ethel Lucille Diaz-Samuels  1940 - 2001

I have had the pleasure of transporting many wonderful people over the years. Travelers going to places around the globe. During the drive we talk about many things.

One subject that often comes up is family, and seems to come around to conversations about mothers. Some people make comments about how our company's voice mail stated that we were closed on Mother's Day (and chuckle at the thought). My mom passed away in May of 2001.

She left behind four grown children and many grandchildren. I am the middle son. Her death was so sudden that I still can't believe that she is gone. It has created a void in my heart that has no bounds.

This site and business is a way to keep her spirit and legacy alive. I didn't realize the depth of  her kindness until I set up her first checking account. Being from the Bronx in New York City, many people from her generation didn't have checking accounts. They kept their hard earned "loot" in hiding places on their person.

Needless to say, I began the task of teaching her how to write out checks. In doing so, I found out that a good portion of her fixed income was going to charities for needy children. I found this to be extremely generous, considering that she always ran out of money by the middle of the month, not to receive her next check until the first of the next month. I was so proud of her.

In her honor and because I love her so much, Chop Chop Shuttle & Tour will set up a charity in her name and a portion of each transport will go to helping others that are less fortunate. For those who took the time to read my story, I thank you. May God bless you and your families.

Sincerely,
